The Bayelsa State Police Command said it had intensified patrol and surveillance to ensure a hitch-free Eid-el-Kabir celebration in the state.
Similarly, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Bayelsa State Command, said it had deployed 1,300 personnel to provide security during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration across the state.
She said the civil defenders’ leadership had directed all zonal commanders and state commandants across the nation to enhance operations to provide a safe atmosphere for the Muslim festivities.
