Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has charged Muslim faithful to reflect on the lessons of Haj and the festivities around it such as the virtues of patience, sacrifice, piety, faith in God, justice and fairness.
He extended his felicitations to the Muslim community ahead of the Eid-al-Adha events, asking Allah to bless the ummah and keep it on the path of goodness. The governor also congratulated the pilgrims, especially the Kwara State contingent, whose Hajj rites climaxed with their gathering and prayers at Mount Arafat on Saturday, according to a Government House statement by his spokesman, Rafiu Ajakaye in Ilorin on Saturday.
The governor called on compatriots to continue to support and pray for the President and for all citizens to do their bit for the progress of our country. “In Kwara, the governor welcomes our people back home for the sallah festivities and different sociocultural activities. A lot has been done to make everyone comfortable and safe, even as different recreational areas are open for people to have a pleasant, memorable time.
