EFCC To Appeal Judgment In Ex-Jonathan’s Aide, Dudafa’s N1.6bn Fraud Trial.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has vowed to appeal Federal High Court judgment which discharged and acquitted Waripamo-Owei Dudafa, and a banker, Joseph Iwuejo.
EFCC said they are studying the details of the judgment and will approach the appeal court immediately. In his judgment on Thursday, August 29, 2019, Justice Muhammed Idris held that the prosecution, through his counsel, Rotimi Oyedepo, failed to prove the charges against the defendant beyond reasonable doubts.
