The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Thursday said it will appeal the judgment of the Lagos federal high court that discharged and acquitted senior special assistant to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Waripamo-Owei Dudafa, and a banker Joseph Iwuejo over N1.6bn fraud.
“Dudafa and Iwuejo were charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on a 23-count charge bordering on conspiracy, money laundering and concealment of proceeds of crime on June 11, 2013.”
