Although the EFCC is yet to give a reason as to why the entertainer was arrested, many have pointed out that it is in connection with his open support for internet fraudsters popularly known as yahoo boys.
In development to his arrest, we have gathered that the commission has now picked up fellow singer, Omomniyi Temidayo better known as Zlatan Ibile. It is learnt that Zlatan who is famous for his song, “Zanku” has been profiled alongside Naira Marley by the commission in order to establish their affiliations with ‘yahoo yahoo’.
According to several reports, the graft agency has seized their laptops and phones to conduct forensics to determine their link to cybercrime.Asides these, reports also have it that they are under investigation for songs and comments glorifying cybercrime. This is coming after the release of Naira Marley and Zlatan Ibile’s collaboration on the song, “Am I A Yahoo Boy?” that was released on Thursday.
