Edo triumphs at U-18 swimming tourney
Team Edo on Friday emerged champions of the National U-18 Swimming Championship in Asaba, Delta State.
The victorious Edo swimmers won 11 gold, four silver and three bronze medals at the three-day tournament. Hosts Delta came second with six gold, while Lagos-based Jimi Osinnowo Club finished in third position with four gold medals, as over 50 athletes from 10 states and four clubs battled for honours.Reacting to the performance of Team Edo at the swimming event, Chairman, Edo State Aquatic Association, Clement Minabowan, said, “This is the beginning of better days for Edo Aquatic Association.
