The Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo , on Sunday stated that he did not consult any prophet or native doctor to win the September 21, 2024 governorship election. Senator Monday Okpebholo , a candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), defeated Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party and 15 other political parties' candidates. Fred Itua, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, disclosed this at Winner's Chapel in Akho, Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State .

Governor Okpebholo expressed his trust in God and reiterated that his faith is in Christ alone, emphasizing that no one can accomplish such feats without Him
