The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has begun the announcement of the results of the governorship election in Edo State. Results from the Local Government Areas, LGA, has been collated and moved to the Central Collation Centre of the Commission in Benin City, the state capital.
reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC , had fixed Saturday, September 21, 2024, for the off-cycle governorship elections in Edo States. The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Labour Party, LP, are the main contenders for the state's number one seat. The election ended on Saturday and INEC officials counted and announced the results at polling units.
