Edo 2020: More trouble for Obaseki as Council Vice Chairman resigns
Godwin Obaseki with the latest resignation of the Vice Chairman of Ovia North East Local Gov Area, Hon Maureen Osaro Ekhoragbon on Wednesday.
Hon Ekhoragbon in a letter to the council chairman had expressed her decision to end her elective position as vice Chairman, pointing accusing fingers to administrative, Political and governance on ground. According to her, in a letter made available to newsmen in Benin, ”I want to use this opportunity to thank the Governor of Edo State, Mr Godwin Obaseki and the executive Chairman of Ovia North East LGA for this opportunity to serve as vice Chairman.”I’m tendering my resignation letter on administrative, political and governance grounds, as politics and governance are inextricably connected,” she added.
She urged those that may be affected by her resignation to accept the news as a formal way of terminating her position as Vice Chairman of Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State.
