The Chamber said that the commission has leaved up to its billings as a regulator, noting that it has made the country witness revolution in the socio-economic lives of the people.
Udeze said that NCC in a well thought out strategy has consistently used the trade fair platform to interact with her various publics on issues affecting their telecom operations. Executive Director of NCC, Prof Umar Dambatta said that the commission believes that “consumer is King”, adding that commission identifies consumers’ role in the development of telecom sector and that they deserved value for their investment.Dambatta who was represented by the a Deputy Director, Ugonnaya Ogama disclosed that the commission has evolved a solution called Do-Not-Distrub, DND, in which consumers are advised to send STOP to a code ‘2442’ to stop unsolicited text messages.
