Nigeria is a country blessed with immense human and material resources. It has lovely and hardworking people who are making giant strides within and outside the country. But in the recent past, some Nigerians with a penchant for avarice have soiled the image of the country. Little wonder that some people view Nigerians from the prism of fraudsters. Eavesdropper thinks this group of people must be aware that not all Nigerians are fraudulent.

Of a truth, some Nigerians have embarrassed the country overseas with irritating acts and shady behaviours. But it’s also a reality that many Nigerians have done great to the admiration of many. The stories are everywhere for any Doubting Thomas to check. This juxtaposition indicates that regardless of the irksome garb the country may be robed in, it’s still a country of wonderful people.

From being indicted for conspiracy, wire fraud and aggravated identity theft to cyber-heist, these greedy individuals had caused many people pain across the world and whatever they treasured as proceeds of corruption crumbled like a pack of cards when they were arrested and arraigned. One thing is sure that there is nothing to treasure in the acts.

It’s the height of greed and criminally-programmed heart to think that the way to escape poverty is to defraud people. Many people toiled day and night to save money while some people’s main target is to swindle them.

Eavesdropper notes that many of these deceitful individuals clearly have low views about life. They purchase material things and think that is where life starts and ends. Things that ordinarily shouldn’t be the major focus of any purposeful individual are what they revel in. They then rush to social media to tickle unsuspecting, hard-working people who would start singing, “God when?” They will not add that they got those material things through dubious means.
