The Department for Work and Pensions will issue PIP payments earlier than scheduled in December due to the Christmas bank holidays
Countless UK households on Personal Independence Payments can expect an early Christmas present this year, with payments to arrive sooner than usual, reports claim. The Department for Work and Pensions payment is a lifeline for those with long-term health issues or disabilities, offering support for additional living costs.
Generally, claimants receive these funds in the working week, but with Christmas and Boxing Day coming up, reports suggest the payment schedules will be adjusted. So, if your regular payment is due on December 25 or 26, it will instead land in your account on December 24. If your payment date changes in December, there's no need to take any action as the money will be directly deposited into your usual bank, building society or credit union account. However, the alteration does mean that claimants will need to stretch their funds a bit further until their next payment arrives in January next year.
