Pumayag na si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na magkaroon ng pilot implementation ng limitadong face-to-face classes sa mga lugar sa bansa na may mababang bilang ng mga kaso ng COVID-19.

Ayon kay Education Secretary Leonor Briones, wala pang petsa kung kailan magsisimula ang dry run pero 100 pampublikong paaralan ang nakatakdang lumahok dito.Ang mga lalahok na paaralan ay dapat pumasa sa safety assessment ng DepEd. Ayon kay Briones, puwedeng lumahok sa pilot implementation ang mga gurong may edad 65 pababa basta wala silang comorbidity. Hindi rin kailangang bakunado ang guro.

Nilinaw naman ni Briones na posibleng itigil ang pilot implementation kung may magbabago sa risk assessment ng lugar at may banta ng hawahan ng COVID-19.
