Is this fair and reasonable?

She received two fines during the few days her car was parked on the street. The ranger who issued the fine took a photo of her car as proof of her mistake which, funnily enough, was how Ms Scheetz could prove the no-stopping sign was not installed at the time.

The photo clearly shows there was no sign installed when she parked her car. Picture: A Current AffairThe second photo shows the sign was installed a few days later. Picture: A Current AffairThree days later she was issued a second fine for $263 for disobeying the no-stopping sign. Another picture was taken showing the sign had been installed right behind her car.

Ms Scheetz has no issue paying the first fine as she knows she was in the wrong but she has tried to fight the second infringement. “I requested a review of the fine and they came back that there’s no grace period when a new sign is installed, even though my car was there before the sign was,” she said.residents were notified about the installation of the sign and Ms Scheetz had left her car parked illegally for three days.

If the issue isn’t resolved, Ms Scheetz told the program she would take the council to court over the fine.trending in technology
