PETALING JAYA: MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong has urged the Johor government to be more considerate towards residents in Pasir Gudang who were asked to leave their flats after they failed to pay the rental arrears.

He said Pakatan Harapan leaders should find out about the economic situation and how the high cost of living was burdening the people.

Dr Wee said he was shocked to read the news that the affected residents were chased out of their homes and only given 10 minutes to pack their belongings. He said Dr Sahruddin Jamal, the new Johor Mentri Besar, should at least instruct the assemblyman concerned to help these residents.
