THE Department of Public Works and Highways has completed two flood control projects in Negros Oriental and La Union as part of the government’s effort to strengthen flood management of more vulnerable areas in the country.
The completed project, costing P71.54-million, was funded under the 2023 General Appropriations Act and now serves as a crucial element in the long-term economic stability of Manjuyod. The construction of the slope protection was implemented along the river’s portion in the agricultural Barangays of Guinabang and Calautit.
