Staff Report Dothan High’s season came to an end on Friday night following a hard-fought 21-13 loss on the road to Mary G. Montgomery in the first round of the Class 7A state football playoffs.
After stopping the Vikings on a fourth down try on the ensuing possession, Dothan would extend its lead when Broadaway connected with Donovan Jones for a 39-yard touchdown pass with 10:07 left before halftime, making it 13-0 following the PAT. After a scoreless third quarter, a 20-yard touchdown run by Jayvian Hawthorne put the Vikings up 14-13 after the extra point kick.
