Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Dosu Joseph, says Nigerians should blame the exit of the nation’s representatives in both the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup over the weekend on the League management company (LMC), for its failure to commence the league.
Rivers United lost to Wydad Athletic of Morocco on the away goal rule despite drawing 2-2 with the North African side in the CAF Champions League.
Dosu told Sports247 that Nigerian football fans should not blame the teams for their woeful performances, but rather the LMC should get the flak for failing to commence the league. The Atlanta ‘96 Olympic football gold medalist did not believe that the North African clubs are the best in Africa, saying the failure to kick off the league on time had an adverse effect on the country’s representatives in the continental tourneys.
