The driver told the officer that he had recently purchased the Subaru, which came with the tinted windows. While reaching for his insurance card in the center console, the driver, who said he was “DoorDashing” food to North Royalton, decided not to open the compartment.The man became agitated about submitting to a search of the Subaru, but the officer had probable cause due to suspicious activity, as well as the police K9’s alert response.The driver was arrested for drug possession, drug paraphernalia possession and tinted windows.On Nov.
An arriving officer located the canine, which was pacing back and forth between the roadway and the front yard. When approaching the animal, the officer said the dog began growling and barking after lowering its head.The animal warden arrived on the scene and advised the officer that they had previously dealt with the same dog and owner for similar incidents.
