BENUE State Governor, Samuel Ortom, on Thursday warned the Miyett Allah Kautal Hore not to come to Benue State for its plan to establish a security outfit called ‘Miyetti Allah Vigilante.
’
The governor in the statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase, said that in as much as he did not have any problem with Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore floating a security outfit in other states, he warned that “such a vigilante group will not operate in Benue State.” He said that his state was already working with conventional security forces and had already established a vigilante group at the state, local government and ward levels.
“The idea of running a nationwide vigilante group is a mere strategy by the Fulani socio-cultural organisation to elevate their nefarious and inhuman activities to another level.
