The “Walk for a Healthy Nation” initiative, which garnered overwhelming support from students, faculty, private sector organisations, and the general public was driven by the commitment of the university aimed to foster a culture of healthy living among Nigerians and nurture a productive mind, body, and spirit.

Also, a former Chairman of SEPLAT, ABC Orjiako, expressed delight and support for the step taken in prioritising healthy living. “I am delighted to see the tremendous enthusiasm and participation in the ‘Walk for a Healthy Nation.’ It is inspiring to witness the collective effort towards promoting physical and mental well-being. Initiatives like this play a crucial role in fostering a healthy lifestyle among Nigerians,” he said.

In his words, a committee member of the walk, Chinwe Iloghalu, expressed her appreciation for the overwhelming response from the participants as it successfully brought together individuals from diverse backgrounds, united in their pursuit of a healthier lifestyle. “The “Walk for a Healthy Nation” aligns with Dominican University’s longstanding dedication to the holistic development of the human person.
