A total of 418 new coronavirus infections were recorded on Tuesday, marking the fifth straight day of decreasing infections.
This is the lowest number of cases recorded in the past 44 days, according to GMA Integrated News Research.
The country's nationwide caseload is now at 4,156,176, while the recovery tally also jumped to 4,079,587. The National Capital Region had the highest number of new cases over the past two weeks with 3,742, followed by Calabarzon with 2,587, Central Luzon with 1,932, Western Visayas with 1,192, and Cagayan Valley with 931.
