Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has said that the pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere’s endorsement of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi as their choice for the 2023 general elections does not represent the general stance of the entire Yoruba people. Akeredolu, who is the Chairman of the South West Governors Forum, made this assertion during a Twitter Space session. Vanguard quoted Akeredolu as saying that “Afenifere doesn’t speak for the Yoruba people on the endorsement of the Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi.”

October 10, 2022Akeredolu said that he was confident that the All Progressives Congress’ candidate, Bola Tinubu, would make the establishment of state police come through in Nigeria.
