A digital skills wallet for NSW school students will show employers what they can and can’t do.

Students in NSW school will soon be able to show employers not just what they have learned from the curriculum but what otherSarah Mitchell, the state’s minister for education, said the education wallet will give every student in the state an all-inclusive digital record of their skills and achievements in a learner profile that can be shared with future employers and further education providers.

Ms Breese says employers usually aren’t looking for people who are book smart, but who are resourceful, self-regulated, confident, determined and resilient – all things that aren’t measured as part of year 12 final exams – and which can be demonstrated in the new education wallet, which will come into being during 2023.
