Despite the gruesome violence of the past few days, however, Bulama confirmed to the AP that the city’s Muslim inhabitants in the somber town still celebrated the religious Eid-el Kabir although amid tight security. According to local police commissioner Simeon Midenda, gunmen held up the officer’s car at gunpoint as he neared a mosque to pray with his family.
