One of the injured victims of Tuesday’s gas explosion at Ajao Estate, Isolo, has died, raising the death toll to four, The Nation has learnt.
The victim, a tailor, identified simply as Victor, was said to have been inside his workshop next to the gas shop that exploded.
A resident, who claimed to have witnessed the blast said, it occurred shortly after Alfa, a welder, came in a tricycle to get industrial gas from Adeyanju.He said: “The woman has closed her shop when the Alfa came. He was inside a tricycle and urgently wanted gas.“So, she opened her shop again, sat down while her daughter went to fill the gas for the Alfa. The next thing everyone heard was a bang and fire followed.
