PARENTS returning to work in Penang are desperate for daycare centres to be allowed to reopen.
She hoped the centres would be allowed to open soon to ensure children do not miss out on early education. “We conducted a survey and about 40% of the parents of 200 children here urgently need to send their children to us.She said at present, apart from 20% discount on fees, lessons are conducted online with the help of the parents.“The lessons are then revised the next day via video teleconferencing,” she added.
On May 3, it was reported that childcare centres are not expected to open for about another month as operators have to undertake a series of stringent precautionary measures before they can resume operations.
