Aliko Dangote, the Chairman of the Dangote Group, has said that all things being equal, Nigeria will not need to import Premium Motor Spirit, known as fuel, in June 2024.

The wealthiest man in Africa and billionaire disclosed this when he spoke as a panellist at the Africa CEO Forum Annual Summit in Kigali over the weekend. The implication is that Nigeria ns are expected to see 650,000 barrels per day of refined fuel products hit the market by June.

However, Standard and Poor's Global Commodities, S & P, in its report in April, said the $20 billion Refinery is expected to commence the fuel supply in the third quarter of 2024. Recall that last month, the refinery commenced the supply of diesel and aviation fuel in Nigeria. According to the company, the refinery has the capacity to supply gasoline to the whole of West and Central Africa.
