Dangote, the foremost industrialist, has started a programme valued at N15 billion to distribute over one million bags of rice across Nigeria to alleviate economic challenges. He emphasized the importance of compassion and solidarity during Ramadan and called for support from all stakeholders to reduce hunger in the country.
The programme, valued at N15 billion, started with the distribution of over one million bags of 10kg bags of rice across the 774 local government areas of the 36 states of the country, as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. Speaking at the official kick-off of the intervention programme, Dangote said it was a crucial step towards alleviating the economic challenges many Nigerians were facing.
