A dusk-to-dawn curfew has been imposed on Bakassi and Akpabuyo Local Government Areas of Cross River State due to security threats in the areas.
This was announced in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof Anthony Owan-Enoh, in Calabar on Monday.“Following security threats in Bakassi and Akpabuyo local government areas of the state and in order to ensure the safety of lives as well as forestall the breakdown of law and order, Governor Bassey Otu, has imposed a dusk to dawn curfew in Bakassi and Akpabuyo local government areas from 7 pm to 6 am each day beginning from Monday, July 3, 2023.
