Cross River APC cries to Buhari, Tinubu over party crisis vanguardngr.com vanguardnews
ABUJA: Stakeholders in the Cross River state chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC have expressed fears that the crisis rocking the party in the state could degenerate to “epic proportions” if urgent actions were not taken to nip it.Consequently, the stakeholders have appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari and a national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to wade in and ensure lasting peace ahead of the elections this weekend.
Oyama stated, “By a copy of this letter, we are notifying President Muhammadu Buhari, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as well as His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the crisis in Cross River State Chapter of APC and to emphasise that it requires urgent attention in order to prevent a multiplicity of actions.”
“Therefore, in order to avoid the perpetuation of such gross impunity in APC, the BOT and/or the NWC has an inherent jurisdiction to set aside the congress that has been done in abuse of the APC Constitution. He added that “the prescribed procedures for conducting such a congress were not properly complied with and the event did not occur in consideration of the universal domain stipulated in the APC Constitution.”
