COVID-19: What we did to businesses that flouted lockdown rules – Nigerian govt
The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, says some businesses which violated the lockdown rules have been fined and sanctioned.
Speaking at the daily press briefing on Thursday, the National Coordinator of the PTF, Sani Aliyu, said the government will not sit back and watch a few endanger public safety. According to Dr. Aliyu, “Some businesses which flouted COVID-19 guidelines have been sanctioned or fined.He noted that the lockdown was relaxed “not because COVID-19 has gone but to ensure the economy does not collapse.
“The fact that we are getting many reports on the flouting of the COVID-19 guidelines is a cause for concern,” he said.
