In its fight against the coronavirus, the Taraba State Government is set to repatriate almajiris to their states of birth.
Commissioner of Health, Innocent Vakkai, who briefed reporters on Saturday, said the almajiris would be tested before they would be repatriated.“Those who would test positive shall be quarantined and treated before sending them off to their ancestral states,” Vakkai said.
The Commissioner disclosed that eight cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control .But the victims are been treated at an isolation center at the NYSC Orientation Camp. The commissioner said out of the eight victims, only one person has shown serious symptoms of the disease.“The state is collaborating with the private sector in the fight against the pandemic.
