Some residents in Zaria have commended the Kaduna State Government for distributing food and other essential materials in the area to cushion the effect of the lockdown to curtail the spread of Coronavirus pandemic.

NAN also recalls that the state government on April 4, distributed food items to support the poor and vulnerable families in Zaria as part of its palliatives. Mr Abubkar Usman, one of the beneficiaries at Tudun cluster, said the support came at the right time and it will reduce a lot of challenges for many households in the area.

NAN also reports that each cluster received 1,000 cartons of Indomie, 85 bags of 50kg of Rice and 129 cartons of four litres of vegetable oil.There were also undisclosed number of bags of Garri and sugar.
