Barely a month after the Chief of Staff to the Benue State Governor and the Secretary to the State Government, Terwase Orbunde and Prof.
Tony Ijohor , respectively, tested positive for COVID-19, they have now tested negative.
But the wife of the state governor, Eunice Ortom; and the Head of Service, Veronica Onyeke, are still positive for the dreaded virus. Orbunde, in a statement he personally issued on Saturday, said subsequent tests carried out on him had returned negative and added that he had resumed duty “After observing the stipulated protocols and having received the required treatment, I wish to state that officials of the NCDC, after conducting other subsequent tests, have declared that I am negative and also released me from isolation. I have, therefore, resumed official duties,” Orbunde said in the statement.
The CoS appreciated God for his sound health, even as he thanked Governor Samuel Ortom and the COVID-19 Committee chaired by the Deputy Governor, Benson Abounu, and all the frontline workers for standing by him.All rights reserved.
