COVID-19: NCDC team arrives Cross River for inspection

A team from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, the Federal Ministry of Health and the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency arrived in Calabar, the Cross River State capital Monday on in

spection of facilities put in place by the state government to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

The NCDC team was received at the Margaret Ekpo International Airport, Calabar by the leader of the Cross River COVID-19 Response Team and state Commissioner for Health, Dr Betta Edu, who held a meeting with members of the team before the commencement of the tour.

Other places the team will visit include General Hospital, Teaching Hospital, Training Centre at Unical for 400 health workers, Tinapa Isolation Centre, Palace of the Obong of Calabar, while the second day the team will visit Itu Bridge.
