Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has revealed local government areas where 19 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the State.

Makinde disclosed that the fifteen new cases are from a company called ‘iSON Xperiences’ in Ibadan South West LGA of the State.Makinde, who doubles as Chairman of the Covid-19 task force in the State, in a series of tweets on his verified Twitter account on Wednesday night, also announced the discharge of two COVID-19 patients.“Two confirmed COVID-19 patients have received their second NEGATIVE test results and have been discharged.

“Also, the COVID-19 confirmation tests for nineteen suspected cases came back POSITIVE. Fifteen are from iSON Xperiences in Ibadan South West LGA, 2 are from Ido LGA and 1 is from Ibadan South East LGA. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State is 162.” The Governor further advised residents to help protect the State by reporting any traveler arriving in their communities despite interstate travel ban to curb the spread of coronavirus.

“Please call the Emergency Operations Centre on 08095394000 | 08095863000 | 08078288999 | 08078288800, if you find travellers from other states arriving in your community,” his tweet added.
