COVID-19 lockdown: Abia Govt goes tough against residents violating use of face masks order

The state government in a press release signed by the Secretary to the State Government and Chairman, Abia State COVID-19 Committee, Barrister Chris Ezem and issued to newsmen in Umuahia, Thursday, directed security operatives, State and Local Government Enforcement Teams to apprehend and hand over culpable persons to Abia Mobile Courts on Covid-19 lockdown operating in various zones in the State for prosecution.

Meanwhile, the Abia State government has said it had traced 262 persons that had contacts with the two COVID-19 index cases in the state.
