The World Health Organization, WHO, regional office for Africa in Brazzaville, Congo, says the number of coronavirus death cases in Africa has risen to 2,885 in the past 24 hours.According to the tweet, COVID-19 confirmed cases in the continent have risen to over 90,000, while 35,000 people have recovered from the virus.
“Over 90,000 confirmed #COVID19 cases on the African continent – with more than 35,000 recoveries & 2,885 deaths,” It said. The WHO COVID-19 dashboard showed that Egypt has 645 reported deaths, the highest on the continent, followed by Algeria with 561 deaths and South Africa with 312 deaths.
