The World Health Organisation reported 674,678 new COVID-19 infections from January 23 to January 25, 2023, The PUNCH reports.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed 15 new cases of COVID-19 in the country in one week.reports that the cases were reported from four states- Plateau , Kano , Lagos , and Kaduna .

The agency said, “To date, 266,507 cases have been confirmed, 259,864 cases have been discharged and 3,155 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. Earlier, the Federal Government said all international travellers arriving in Nigeria are now required to provide evidence of vaccination at the points of entry following the reported upsurge in COVID-19 in China, Japan, the United States of America and other countries.
