COVID-19: Kaduna Bans Movements Within, Outside State

The Kaduna State Government has shut all entry points into the state from 6 pm to 6 am every day, as no interstate or intrastate travel is allowed at night-time even for essential services.

Aruwan said that the decision followed a security briefing that criminal elements are using night-time hours to smuggle people into the state. According to Aruwan, security agencies will respect the exemptions granted for the movement of food and other essentials in daytime hours. “Vehicles on essential duty will then be inspected after 6 am by our health and security team, and will only be granted passage if the goods they are conveying are really essential,” he said.
