Premier League bosses want to restart the season with a clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United on a Friday night, the Daily Mail reports.
Even though all 20 clubs are yet to reach agreement on the restart, the Premier League is pushing ahead with their plans and have already drawn up a timetable for how the season can be concluded. League bosses plan to have a bonanza of football every weekend, with matches staggered across Saturday and Sunday and sandwiched in between Monday and Friday night games.
To kick off the resumption of the season, a match between Manchester United and Tottenham has been earmarked as the first fixture of the abridged end to the campaign.The match will be played at Spurs’ new stadium, after clubs rejected plans to play at neutral venues.
