It was a mild drama on Tuesday as the Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi turned back some visitors who did not wear face masks entry from his office located within the Governor’s Office complex in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.
The action was in line with the state government’s directive, which has made the use of face masks in public in Ekiti now compulsory. “Let members of the public be put on notice that any visitor to the Office of the Deputy Governor that fails to wear a face mask will not be allowed entry, it is a rule that must be complied with,” he said.
Apart from this, limited number of guests from Are-Ekiti who had come to attend a peace parley presided over by Otunba Egbeyemi with the Alare of Are Ekiti, Oba Boluwade Adebiyi and his aggrieved chiefs, were allowed into the conference hall to prevent overcrowding.
