The Edo State Government has announced the recovery and discharge of six more coronavirus patients who have now tested negative for the virus and cleared to reunite with the society, following their treatment at various isolation facilities in the state.

He disclosed that the state also recorded 34 new confirmed cases, noting that Edo has now recorded a total of 729 confirmed cases and 31 COVID-19 related deaths.The commissioner, who reassured that the state government will continue to intensify efforts to contain the pandemic and protect Edo people, said the state has tested over 5050 residents, contact-tracing 2095 others and visited over 863 rural and urban communities for Active Case Search activities.
