Residents of Osun State and the general public have been warned to always wear their face masks and comply with all safety guidelines against COVID-19
This is as it has been revealed that noticeable signs and symptoms of the Delta variant of COVID-19 does not include cough and fever but joint, neck and upper back pain, headache, pneumonia, general weakness and a lack of appetite.
According to him, the variant is very deadly as it takes less time to go extreme without signs and symptoms sometimes. While calling for caution, he noted that he had seen several patients present without fever or pain but reporting chest pneumonia on their x-rays. “This means that the virus spreads directly to the lungs leading to acute respiratory distress caused by viral pneumonia. This explains why it has become sharp, more virulent and deadly.”
