COVID-19: Cuomo gives update as death roll hits 10,000 in New York
The figures rose following a one-day increase of 671.“I think you can say the worst is over, we have control of the spread.The governor added that the state could now begin to plot a path back to normalcy.Cuomo added that he was working with the governors of neighbouring states to coordinate a plan for reopening businesses and schools, in order to best ensure containment, NAN reports.
He described reopening as a “delicate balance,” that will require intensive testing and monitoring to ensure there is not a resurgent outbreak. More than 22,000 people have died from complications related to COVID-19 across the US, according to a report by Johns Hopkins University.
