The African Union and private sector partners have rolled out a platform called PanaBIOS for managing congestion, tracing contacts and cross-border travel.
A statement noted that countries like Ghana is using the platform to keep their political calendar on track.
“In fact, with PanaBios, you can observe contacts and track the attitude and movement of people from one place to the other. “To ensure the safety of passengers, the African Union Open Corridor Initiative is opening its arms to encouraging a partnership among pan-African private sector organisations to bring about a digital means to check on the spread of COVID 19 through bio-screening and contact tracing, again, through PanaBIOS.”
