The COVID-19 situation in Ekiti State has turned out to be a blessing in disguise for residents of Ajebamidele, a densely populated neighbourhood of Ado Ekiti, the capital.

The two large markets have been shut by the state government for about two months to prevent the spread of COVID-19 after which they were fumigated. The Chairman also used the opportunity of the visit to inspect the level of work on the rehabilitation of the Deeper Life Campground Road and the access road that leads to the market.

Speaking on the grading of roads on Ajebamidele, Mrs. Fajuyi said the project was motivated by the new market and the need to make the roads motorable for residents. She said: “This market is a blessing to us in Ajebamidele. It will save residents of the stress of going to Oja Oba and Bisi Market and also help us to build our customer base here.”
