The Presidential Task Force (PTF) on the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic said it had activated some 3,300 of informers to carry out house-to-house search in Kano metropolis for sufferers of symptoms of the virus.

Aliyu, who expressed appreciation to partners who had aided the PTF’s response in Kano, especially the Independent National Electoral Commission for assisting with about 30 vehicles, said all efforts by the task force had been in collaboration with those of the state government. “In addition to this, we have continued to work closely with our partners to deploy technical staff to support the Kano response. We have at least 41 staff from the NCDC and 17 from the WHO at the moment in Kano.
