CORONAVIRUS | Total cases are now at 8,515 with 521 active cases.
| The country has recorded 10 new Covid-19 cases, with no new deaths as of noon today, the Health Ministry said today.Meanwhile, 140 full recoveries were recorded today, bringing the total number of recoveries thus far to 7,873 or 92.5 percent of cases. The death toll remains at 121.
Meanwhile, Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were no import cases recorded. He said out of the newly recorded cases, three were attributed to foreigners, including a detainee transferred to the Immigration Academy in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan from the Bukit Jalil immigration depot.
The other two cases involved one in Kuala Lumpur who is a close contact of patient no. 8455 and another in Sarawak involving a patient who was diagnosed after a pre-operation screening at the Sabah Women and Children Hospital. Of the seven Malaysians cases, four are linked to the old folks home in Kuala Selangor; one from the tahfiz cluster, also in Selangor; one from Sarawak who is a family member of patient no. 8453 and another from a new emerging cluster identified in Sabah.
